According to Bridgestone’s definition, “materials that are not expected to become depleted as a result of consumption, as opposed to fossil resources and other limited resources.” Recently, a concept of “100 percent sustainable tire” of company is released to the world. Natural Rubber, Biomass and Plant Fibers have become a new composition for new tires. Moreover, those new tires from new composition are currently displayed at Paris Motor Show 2012.
The company said that “As the world’s largest tire and rubber manufacturer, the Bridgestone Group is working to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society while providing a constant and reliable supply of advanced and high-quality products to meet the needs of our customers around the world.”
As concern for environment in the status of the world’s largest tire manufacturer, Bridgestone hopes that sustainable tires can be released to the market effectively in 2020.
